Dumb and dumber

Looks like Charlie Gibson at ABC will get the first Palin interview.

Give the fact that Gibson was recently stunned to learn of the passage of the 12th Amendment to the Constitution ratified in 1804, he will be perfect for Palin. Charlie also thinks the founders wrote the Pledge of Allegiance.

And as an aside, how dumb is Charlie Gibson? How on earth could he have not known how the VP is selected? 12th Amendment aside, how could he have read Article Two of the Constitution and it not occurred to him that we don't do that any more?
